My hobbies are archery and making knives. I live in a metropolitan area so when I shoot my bow I must shoot into my garage. I get back a couple of yards onto my driveway and shoot into a very well protected area. After forging some knife blades one day I picked up one of longbows to shoot a couple of times. The bow was a little heavy for me and I was straining to bring it to full draw. My bow arm colasped, I released short and at the same time I plucked the string sending the arrow off track and it hit my 105 year old Trenton anvil square on. The anvil came out the better, the arrow broke in the middle like it was cut with a power saw. When I was thinking what kind of mark to have is when I came up with the letter Y (first letter of my last name) breaking through an arrow.
Thanks for your interest and all of your comments. They are appreciated.
