Mini cleaver.

This was a really fun build. It was a butt load of hand sanding.

That is NICE!  What kind of treatment did you do to the metal to get that pattern on it?

It's a special hammer I use when the steel is hot.

A knife making friend of mine made a couple very similar to that. His blades were about twice as long from end to beginning of the handle. David's bow cleavers were just the ticket for mass wood removal on staves: sharper than hatchets and very easy to control. Tim Baker loved the one he got.
