I would lay out a center line by following the longitudinal grain just like it is then lay the bow out from there, after a little floor tillering I would do what ever it needs to get things lined up on the handle and tips with dry heat or steam depending on how old the wood is.

You will have to follow the snake or it will never hold. Good looking piece of wood, challenging but nice just the same.
