Rattlesnake belly skins
« on: March 07, 2016, 09:57:00 pm »
I have a bunch of WDB rattlesnakes to skin. Wanted to see if there's any interest in their belly skins? When I don't save the belly skin, I cut the skin down the middle of the belly. A skin cut down the middle of the belly takes 20-40 tacks to tack down.

When I save the belly skin, I cut it along the edge of the belly skin. It takes 350-400 tacks to save the belly skin.

WDB rattlesnakes are thick snakes with nice belly skins. If you ate interested in a belly skin let me know.

I'm open to trades, but not raw materials. Make me an offer an an offer  :)

Thank you,
Cipriano

The belly skin is thicker than the back skin.  I believe it adds some protection to the back of the bow kind of like how thin rawhide does.  So if anyone is needing rawhide and having trouble finding some you might want to get a set from Cipriano and give it a try.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Hey brother. Thank you for the tip!! I do it that way, but maybe I use way too many tacks. About how many do you use?

My cheap harbor freight one shoots brads too.

Just a heads up, these skins are illegal to have in Utah. Just in case anyone wanted any from here.
