Real nice bow.

WOW, thanks everyone for the great response.  I wasn't expecting so many nice comments.

Pat B, yes, perhaps I'm a little overly cautious working close to the fades.  I'll have to be conscious of that with the next bow....thanks.  Yep, making some progress but SO much still to learn :-)

rps3, good point.  Those rings were so tight that I never considered that they may turn loose.  I'll certainly keep an eye it.  That area around the knot is a bit concave, so I decided not to remove too much of it.  Thanks for the "heads up".

That's a true beauty, man!! Love the curves you put on her :)
And nice finish as well.
Could you show the form from which you did the recurves, or give us measurements?
Congratulations for that bow!!!

Dan, here's the form I used.  It's laminate plywood about 2" thick.  The radius turned out to be 7 7/16".  Dry heat worked very well on this seasoned stave.  I also used a .050 steel plate clamped to the belly to help retard any splinters from raising.  Hope this helps.   Drew

Great looking bow.  I like that wooden cone arrow rest.  I'll have to try that on my next bow.  Great colors!
