What a guy
« on: November 29, 2015, 04:47:35 pm »
My eldest son and I had the pleasure of being in the company of one of  the most gracious and accommodating hosts I have ever met.  We had a great time (even in the rain) for 3 days and ate like royalty.  The true character of this gentleman was evident throughout and I just felt compelled to let everyone know what great guy he is (a lot already know).  I hope to be able to return some day or possibly return the favor somehow, but until then, all I can do is say Thank You very much Danzn Bar.

I am not surprised. Not really at all.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

I agree Greg, he's as good a guy as you'll ever know,  relaxed, easy going and a heck of a camp chef.

Dang! Ya'll have already said it all!!
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857

Thanks for the compliments guys......

But to set the story straight, I put Greg to work out at my camp this weekend.  If you guys don't know, Greg is one hell of a beaver trapper.  Fighting the rain  with just a few sets and two rainy nights he scored on 5 beaver.  Thanks Greg!!!!!   Really appreciate it.  I most likely will not have any trouble with those critters damming up the spillway anymore.

Greg, you and your son are welcome anytime.  This spring might be a good time to hang into one of those 6-8 pound bass.
Really enjoyed you and your sons company, your good people.

Till next time,
DBar

It's really not work if you enjoy the company you keep and the task at hand.  We sure had a good time and appreciate your hospitality.  Top notch bowyer and great person to boot, which when you think about it, describes so many on this site.  Thanks again Bill.

Greg and Bill are both great guys to hang out with for a weekend in the bow shop, on the range or by a campfire.  Ja-dah, ja-dah, ja- dah.  Enough with the mutual admiration society stuff, where are the pictures of the beavers and the cobbler?  :)

I do have a few pics of our trapping adventures.  The cobbler, sadly, didn't make it. :'(

I bet you did, Greg. I keep telling him when he gets down the road from my office to call him and I'll take Bill to lunch.

Greg, no problem on the cobbler pix.  Hopefully, in about 3 months, I'll get to experience a Danz Bear cobble first hand or is that first mouth.  ;)
