Short osage sinew and snake.
« on: November 25, 2015, 10:45:33 pm »
I've had this stave for 3 years and it's the only cool wavy osage stave I have worked. 51" tip to tip with the horns and so 49.5" ntn. A couple knots to work around so I did a 3 layer elk sinew back to give a little reflex also. Lost almost all the reflex but still strong unstrung profile for a 25" draw. 45# @ 25". Bighorn sheep nocks, Montana rattler skin and brain tanned deer handle. Fun little bow.

That's awesome, Chuck! I need to get around to making a truly short bow like that someday. You make great bows.

I always look forward to seeing another one of your short sinew back bows tillered to perfection. I like the whole look of this one,
the design and skins are perfect for that wiggly osage, very nicely done Chuck.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.
