I wear shoes because of the rattlesnakes and sand-spurs!  Either one can be a major buzz-kill if you're not wearing some good shoes!

Those don't bother me much (the sand spurs anyway) but rattlers are a different story, good thing we don't see very many in my side of the peninsula.
Whatever you are, be a good one.

You're a tougher man than me!

Nice bow though!  A real looker!

Thanks guys for the comments!
PS. the barefoot thing started in my home state of WV as a method of counting past 10! However, I fit right in barefoot in FL:)

What happens when you have to count to 21?  ;D Ok, no pictures of that!

Sweet little killer. Eric, you are making some sweet little shorties. Keep it up and I hope this one makes meat for you!

Cool short bow.  Iv'e been wanting to make a hunting bow kind of like that, for close shots.  I have one that is similar, but not as pretty and wicked as yours.  It's pretty amazing how hard and fast  those short bows can shoot at closer distances, not to mention what osage can handle.

That looks like a little rocket launcher for sure. I find it it amazing that you can get such a powerful (and beautiful!) bend from a 44" selfbow. That Osage really is something else! :-)

I would love to try my hand at an Osceola turkey with a bow. That is a fantastic idea!

Very nice! Museum collections abound with hunting bows around that length, so it's a proven design.
