Pretty interesting. Glad to see folks posting. :)
How would it work if folks that want to teach
one method or the other in a strict sense--
Then couldn't  those threads be posted in
Tutorials (with inter action with members)?
Not sure it that section would be to remote
for new folks to find? No real changes?
In other words things here stay the same.
Discussion on any methods but not lengthy
one sided teaching threads.
A thread could remind folks here of a abo or
a copper tutorial??
Also we could vote??

We do live in a Republic, & I take no issue with  members voting on a solution .   It could rule out a change because of that dang ole PC issue!

I would like to see it remain as it is. We are all knappers.

I'd be happy with the new child board, but I'm happy like it is too.
I think the term ABO should stay.
Changing it would be like saying you aint flintknapping if you're knapping obsidian because that aint flint. sort of.

I don't post in here much, but I'm not a fan of sub forums, and I wasn't too thrilled when the flight bows and horn bows were separated. That's why I like this board more than the other ones.
Just my 2 cents

I'm only an occasional knapper and my knapping is geared primarily towards function.  As such I really don't care one way or another, although one way of looking at it would be that all of Ben's posts would go in there.  I will create a child board (sub-forum) if that is what most of you want.  As such I think a poll is necessary.

Did you do a pole during the night?
I am pretty sure I see an Abo board already.
Maybe I better check.
I did a quick tally of replies on this thread and I think there
are 21 yes 5 no and 5 undecided.

I guess I may as well throw my .02 worth in. I think we should work thru some of our problems like some one else said, I hate to see us become divided, enough said. Bob

Creating child boards is not a problem.  Maybe thought should be given about creating a sub-forum as a read only forum for threads of note, such as Towers post on thinning with pressure that I moved to the Archive Library, and some of the pinned topics as well as others
