Boo Back and Belly, Please help with Tiller ?

Hi, This is a Boo back and belly bow. Specs are

Boo back 4mm and taper to 2.5mm
Core is balau wood 4mm tapers to 2.5mm
13.5 inch long and one inch thick handle
Boo Belly (heat tempered 4mm taper to 2.5 mm)

Can some one advise me where I should the limbs to be more bending before I start pulling the limbs more ?

I've never made one but I think you should get most of the tillering done in the engineering the components before glue up. Slight tillering adjustments can be done after glue up by reducing from the sides.

I have a friend who has made bunch of bamboo/bamboo bows. I asked her how she tillered them and she said she used heat.

Hi Eric,

I do agree with your friend, I used that method too. But you have to be extremely careful not too much heat or it might delam.

Base on the long string, where do I need to get the limbs to bend ?
