It's a bad day at work when.....

It's a bad day at work when I had to spend my afternoon hosing poop off the ceiling  :P   I'm just glad I wasn't in that building when the pipe blew apart.


Anybody else want to share what a bad day at work is to you?

My last job we had an area in the city that would flood about once a year. It was below the Sewer's biohazard solids disposal facility. It was fun to watch how fast people got their kids out of the flooded streets after you told them that. That was kinda Crappy.

Working on a drill rig barge in Cape Canaveral harbor when a big hydraulic line on the rig blew out 50 yards in front of the Coast Guard Station.

Last Friday a plumber died on our job. Its a new high rise and they were pressure testing their mains and something blew and killed him instantly. Needless to say i came home and kissed my wife and kids and put down a few cold one's.

Yea, a death at work is a hard one. I've seen a few working on drill rigs and in the phosphate mines for 40 + years, never easy.

When I started this topic I hadn't thought about deaths.  That is a rough one Paul.  We had 2 operators die in 1987 from hydrogen sulfide gas.  They went in a tank to get a piece of plexiglass that had fallen in.  They lost their lives over a piece of plastic.  One night my friend reset a boiler at work and it blew in half.  The top of it got caught on some conduit runs right above his head.  That conduit saved him.

I've seen one death at work and it never really left my mind. Its hard to watch and hard to forget.

For me a bad day at work is when life outside of work wont let you be. It makes the work day miserable, even if its not. No, I'm not whining Pauly! :)

The only time I've heard you whine Chris is when you're trying to come up with excuses as to why you suck on the 3d course >:D outside of that never heard you complain much  :)
