Short, but sweet Grayling trip

Greg, bad Chris, Dan (Buck McNeely) and I met in Grayling, MI last weekend to hang out, hunt and BS. Our plans started as a full week, but unfortunate circumstances cut my time to just a weekend with them. Greg and Dan are up there for at least a few more days. I snapped a few pics during Greg and my scout/walk around Saturday afternoon, we did quite a few miles and I think I may have wore the ol' man out  ;). The weather was dismal, but we made the most of it.

A few days was better than none at all...good times for sure...and a much needed relief from lifes stresses... 8)

Hoping greg or dan hook into one this week...should be quiet up there during the week.

Deer movement was slow. We all seen deer, but always on the hoof and never on stand. I had a very express trip up and mostly visited, I'm sure the guys will get an arrow off this week. It takes a lot of boot leather and hard work to get the chance up there, but its very doable. For me? The view I have while I wait for deer to show up is worth it, pretty easy on the eyes terrain. No wonder Fred hunted it so much.

Looks like fun. If I was hunting in Grayling I'd have to be using my 59 Kodiak.

Good lookin camp - Grayling always seems to be a Magical spot to Me. A Bear Bow in hand would be very appropriate. I sure miss the annual Selfbow Camp that Matt and I put together long ago. Bob.

 Had to back out about 3 weeks ago. September was a hard month financially and couldn't do it. Looks like a great time and wished i could of made it

I was using an osage self bow Eddie, but I did have some old greenies glued on my arrows. Had to have a bit of Fred on-board.
