Next year boy's, next year. Your welcome to join us big guy. Another chef never hurt any camp I've been around.

And if you know or search "Buck McNeely". You'll see Dan looks just like him......Duck McFeely :)

Looks like a great camp!  Good luck on the hunt!
I miss the selfbow camp we enjoyed for 20 years also, Chamookman.

Matt and Bobert. You guys know where we are. Come on up next time around! There is only 10,000 acres or so to spread out over.

That is pretty country.  Looks like y'all had a good trip.  I think I would have had to break out the Kodiak hunting in Grayling - I am a Fred Bear fan boy for sure.

Duck McFeely checked in. I guess a high speed doe did the dip and run routine and he shot right over her at 15 yards.

For those of you that know. He shot AT that deer with his 3 year old Marshall bow project. The snakey osage bit, he finally finished it up.

I finished the week with only the one close call on the doe at 15 yards, and 1 red squirrel on the Marshall bows tally sheet.

The weather was a little wetter than I had hoped for, but we made the best of it and still got out hunting a fair amount. Next fall there will be some wood stove heat in the tent, that's for sure. It would have been nice on a couple of those cold nights, and a way to dry clothes as a bonus.

As always, it was good seeing you guys again.

Just got home and mostly unpacked, I'm exhausted, wet and cold but will have a hot shower and warm bed tonight. Was a great trip and a beautiful forest to roam and hunt. I would return there again for a week of the same and hope to some time in the future. Was fun having the good and bad Chris' in camp for the weekend and fun hanging with Dan all week. The Danimal wore out some boot leather scouting and hunting while I slept in several mornings. I did hit the woods and roam enough everyday to see deer flagging their tails as they put some distance between them and me but had no shot opportunities. I still love the hunt but anymore the time spent with a few good friends is the best reason for these trips. We'll get the deer next time boys. :)
I'll try and get some pics up over the weekend, beautiful north woods scenery there.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.
