I love fall. Cool, windy and beautiful.

Our leaves are almost at max color. Oaks seem a bit slow this year. Poplars and some maples are already bare. My favorite time of year is almost here, after leaf fall and before leaf out.  8)

I have a bunch of old Maples in My yard - been mowing/mulching leaves for days. With Bean Fields been picked, starting to see Turkeys again. Corn Fields are on the agenda now - Deer are loosing their cover fast. Bob

Here are a few pics I took from the front porch. You can see some of the trees in our valley have lost most of if not al their leaves. In other areas the leaves are still holding on...

...sourwoods are mighty pretty this time of year...

Nice pictures.  Not many leaves left on trees up here.  Poplar and Red Oak are some of the last trees to hold onto their leaves

Sourwood makes great shoot arrows, my favorite. Also, the bees like to make sourwood honey so much they keep it separate from other honey.

Live and learn. 8) Thanks Pat, glad I asked. I'll have to see if we have
some around my area.

Thanks also Mark and Pappy

Though the skies were gray, the light coming through this young maple grove on what was once a cleared field on the mountain was amazing:
