Iso of pine pitch or birch tar
« on: October 22, 2015, 01:35:58 pm »
I'm looking for a couple sticks of pine pitch or birch tar to use on my Christmas trade.  I've got deer leg sinew, turkey feathers mostly secondaries, figured walnut for tip overalls.  Let me know. Thanks Tim

Stringman,
Who is Dylan, and what type of sap does he have?

I would be interested in some pine ,or maybe birch sap to make some glue and string wax with.  I some wood strips for tip overlays and knife handles.  The wood is cut into 1/16" and 3/16" thick strips that are about 3/4" wide and 3" long.  I have some red & purple heartwood, bibinga, black walnut, Leppard wood, wenge and zebra wood.

Hey I'm Dylan. I'm making some pine pitch soon but could get just raw sap too. Got millions of pine trees around here. Shoot me a PM. I'll make a bigger batch if you want some

Thanks Dylan, I am interested in the pine pitch and maybe some sap as well.  I've never made string wax before, and I'm not sure if it's best to mix line sap or pitch with my bees wax.  If someone can enlighten me please do :)
Most of the pitch will be used in making glue sticks for several projects I have planned for this winter.
I'll shoot you a PM , thx
Ed
