I started a flat bow yesterday aiming for a 40#@25" draw. It's out of black locust with 26 and 27" limbs. and is pretty blah compared to the last few I've done as in the only character is one knot mid bottom limb and many longitudinal checking from when I left the stave in the truck during a rain. I got it back to 21" taking a little set, 1/2" immediately after unbracing. But its time for heat treating which I'll be doing tomorrow after noon. I can't decide between straigh limb or reflex it and if so how much I should go. I'm leaning towards straight to 1" reflex to keep from straining the checks too much. What do you all think.
Thanks,
Kyle
