you said fuming makes wood like rubber. but is it not enough for bending wood without high pressure?

The final color and finish of this bow is breathtaking!  Your handle lamination is flawless.  If you hadn't told us it was there I would not have even seen it.  Thanks for sharing your workmanship with us.  I think I learn something new every time you post a bow.

Thanks for the link, I will try this!
You get the rubber like when fuming a long time or with pressure. After 5 days the effects is gentle but noticeable. I maid bad mistakes with my first fuming bows with bending /bracing to soon. Got somme deformations .
The right thing is to wait a few days til the wood has stabilized again!

That qualifies as a character bow and then some!
