I almost had a coyote to start on a quiver, but the person shot it opening morningof rifle deer season and the temp reached into the 60s. So it was green bellied by the time I could get over there to get it in the late evening. Those coyotes stink enough as is, and get a little green belly going on and it's terrible. But fur bearer season is open now, so it's time to harvest a raccoon or two and make up a quiver and jar of rendered coon tallow. I've decided on some changes after packing around my raccoon skin quiver for a couple years.
