Christmas trade wish list
« on: September 18, 2015, 02:20:57 pm »
I've had a lot of people ask what they can make or send. I figured I'd start a thread where people could say what they maybe need or want. (Doesn't mean that's what you'll get) just figured itd give some ideas.

I could use anything. I like bows, arrows, knives, Hawks, staves, skins. Whatever.

I would take anything as well. As long as it is made by hand. Even a box of homemade candy or something canned fruit or veggies. I can't eat cinnamon and whole tomatoes. But my wife will!

About finished products,  I really like to admire when someone has done amazing work. I love craftsmanship and when all the details are just right.
But raw materials are great, because then I have an opportunity to make something myself. I especially like materials I can't get locally

I also have two sons that have been hinting pretty hard they want an osage bow.  If I were to get a stave, that is what I would likely want something that I could use to make something for them.

I'd be grateful for anything, but if we're talking preferences, I'd say staves, snakeskins, arrow shafts, knapped heads, buckskin, would be my top choices. A bow or a handmade knife would be awesome. I'm right-handed, have a long draw (30" with a self bow) and like 50-55 pounds, but 45-65 would be useful to me. For arrows, because of my long draw, 31" BOP, and a spine range between 55-60 and 75-80 work with my self bows.

I can always use bow making tools and have been hunting for another broad hatchet.

Other interests: aside from bow making and related stuff, anything outdoor related (hunting, fishing, bushcraft), great literature, early American history, native American artifacts.

I would be happy with anything.  Interests I have include archery, fishing, collecting, knife making, camping and I am very interested in learning how to knap.  Raw materials are always appreciated and I would treasure another Primitive Archery member's craftsmanship.

Like most have already stated, I will be good with anything.

But finished items are good as I get to examine, compare and "learn" from someone else.
On the other hand, raw material can always be put to good use. Either way it will be appreciated.
