Thanks guys for the nice comments. Took the bow over to Gregs house yesterday aka badly bent and shot it a  while and let him throw a few from it also. Seems to be performing well so I'll just continue on shooting it and hope for the best

It shot exceptionally well and if Paul won't hunt with it I will. ;D Its a perfect deer bow Paul, smooth, quiet, accurate as can be and has great cast, it even survived the dry fire test I gave it. The first arrow I drew
back somehow came off the string and my fingers must have followed with it and caused me to dry fire after pulling it back about 12", relieved that no damage was sustained. If you get your shot I think you'll put your deer down Paul, your shooting it well.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

I wasn't going to tell anyone  Greg but you told on yourself I guess. The only other person I've seen dry fire a  bow was pearly boy, I guess you two are in a class of your own ;)

I don't make a habit of dry firing a bow, I'd never do that with one of my own bows. ???
For a long time I would never shoot another guys selfbow even when he would offer it, always fearful of  how i would feel if it decided to break while I was the one behind the controls. I may go back to that rule again for awhile now. ;)

You have a fine looking hunting bow to take with you on your first hunt. I am almost envious of all the highs and lows that you are gonna have your first season.  Good luck this year.  It is high time that those fine looking bows that you have been making are heading to the woods for their intended task! :)
