Quick story--- Monday-- Hunts with Stone calls and says "no time to stop
for hardstone gotta fly". Will be getting in late at hotel across the mountain.
Dern-- had a pretty good hunt planned. Oh well.
Humm, the gears started turning. I called Hunter and asked, if I met him
on the mountain (fog, deer, bears, and 2 dozen switch backs, no cell signals)
could he and the Mrs squeeze in an hour detour.
We made a plan to meet and run up a parallel valley, early morning.
Hunter and the Mrs are excellent navigators and both drive like angles.
Hell's Angles.lol
It was a glorious, cool late summer day.
Well things began to click. I called Super Girl, Helena and asked if she
could acquire some greenstone and meet Hunter and I, at what I call
the jasper place thirty miles up valley.
The wheels were turning like a poker run. We took in the local color
and headed north down the South Branch of the Shenandoah River.
Jasper is pretty rare so when we arrived at the "place" the hunt was on.
Helena appeared out of the mist and laid hardstone at our feet.
Hunter and his bride made it home in time.
