Nice snake skin. Trade Done.
« on: September 10, 2015, 09:21:10 am »
Hey fellas, I'm looking for a nice snake skin. Species doesn't  really matter. I would like to find one that would cover a 58 in bow. If you have a skin that is "different" I would be interested. I'm the kind of guy that gravitates towards the unusual style. This will be put over rawhide backing and the bow will be my hunting bow. Not really sure what I would have to trade but we can figure out something. Thanks, Patrick

Missouri, where all the best wood is! Well maybe not the straightest!

Building a bow has been the most rewarding, peaceful, and frustrating things I have ever made with my own two hands!

I think I have a black rat snake skin that would be long enough for that bow.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I may do that fellas, I wouldn't mind getting one with a little color to it. I'm going to wait to see if I get a few more replies. Then if not I will start at the top down on who replied. Thanks again, I'll check back later. Patrick

Check the stickbow September trade thread...4nolz has some really nice timber rattler skins.
I like to split them right down the mustard colored center line and do both limbs with one skin and you get a perfect match.
