New kid in town
« on: September 11, 2015, 01:49:27 am »
So here I am making another quiver out of last year's hide and needed to take a break and be social. I have been spying upon the primitive archer group from the mountains and have finally joined because, well I don't have any bowyer friends here in CO. I'm first to admit that I'm not the best bowyer in the world but I do Love the feeling of shooting something that I made, especially if it can bring home some more meat and hopefully a useable piece of hide. For what it's worth, even though I am new to the group I really admire and truly appreciate the knowledge that you are willing to share. When the daystar comes I will post pictures of my latest bow and hopefully get some insight as to what to do to make her grow into another fine shooter.

P.S. I trade elk antler and meat for staves!

Let me be the first to welcome you to PA. I've been a member for while but normally do a lot more reading than posting. I and no dought others would love to see pics of your bows.
Elk antler for bow wood, hmmmm. Let me think about.

There are some of the nicest jerks around that show up here!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Welcome Crow_of_the_mountian.  A very few jerks here but mostly great folks who so willingly share their knowledge and experience.  Enjoy and stay tuned.  Waiting to see your work.

Welcome sir! I started posting and reading here when I was 16 (8 years ago) and the support and inspiration  from everyone in this group has me still out peeling down staves at 730 this Sunday morning.
