I have a bow backed with ugly brown linen and sealed in spar urethane. Can I put snakeskins over it or do I have to live with it?

You can put the snake skins over using TBIII but I wouldn't waste good snake skins on an unsatisfactory bow.

The bow itself is a good shooter, its just the brown backing I don't like, so I could put skins over urethane with TBIII. any prep work on the urethane?

I'd wipe it down with alcohol first to remove any oil and finger prints and maybe a light sanding.
