Nice job, all abo knapped? And do I see some Onondaga underneath? W/ your forum name I'd suspect it is. I'd like to get some higher quality Onondaga someday. It's been years since I took a whack at some, love the oil smell.

Thanks! I find obsidian knaps best with antler, the flaker I used is the one in the pic. I use a copper or large deer antler bopper to take a large flake off the stone to begin with. You have I good eye! That is some Onondaga, I found some down by Lake Erie earlier this year, and bought some at a powwow not long ago. My problem is finding the good quality flint. I could post a pic of some Ontario Jasper? if that's what it is, maybe you could tell me, someone  said it was and I'm not an expert, but I know it knaps nice.

Sure, I don't know that I've seen Ontario jasper but I'd like to see a picture. We had some nice jasper in PA and some has been posted on this site by 'ghostknapper'.

Ive played around with some taconite jasper, knapps like iron but makes some slick points when they do turn out.

Nice points

There's supposed to be some Jasper up North around Hearst but the guy who told me this said all he ever saw were small pieces.  There's also supposed to be some in the Gatineau's near Hull Quebec but I'll be darned if I can find out where.
