Expect it too take some set, but it shouldn't be excessive.
I have not had it crysal, doesn't mean it won't just that I haven't screwed one up too bad yet!
Honestly though I think from my limited experience with it, that it is at least fairly strong in compression.
I'll find out just "how" strong it is when I build a ELB from it
