Short Recurve
« on: August 27, 2015, 12:42:37 pm »
I've had some people ask me how to make and/or if I have ever written an article on these bows in the past so I decided a few weeks ago to make another and write an article for PA on the build, because of that I won't give away too many details.  The bow is Maple backed Yew 53" long that pulls 45# @ 28".  I didn't finish it for awhile cause I couldn't decide whether to make it a right or left hand bow, I decided on left.  It was fun to build

P.S.  I'm actually pulling it close to 29" in the full draw

Real nice Marc. Your squeezing it all out.

You make it look so easy Mark, I bet that bow would do ok in flight shooting.

That is a slick bow. If I ever run into you I would love to shoot it. Since I'm a lefty too. Great job

Thanks guys.  It does shoot real good but there is a bit of finger pinch, not too bad though

I had the same thought Steve as I was tillering it out to 25"

It makes me a little jealous and a lot motivated to see you busting out such ridiculously good work! All your bows come out top notch but this really pushes the limits for a proper hunting bow.

That is just flat out stellar tillering. I'm struggling to express how badly I envy the gentleman who will get to call that bow his own.

Thanks again guys.

I guess you will be envious of me then Ben  :)

The article is fairly comprehensive so those that are interested in making one of these will have to read it
