Amatuer Holmgaard self bow

 Some asked me to do a build along, I'll Keep it simple with photos, here we go.

continuing with the chopping the limbs to a point, then cutting with a saw and Slick to remove belly material.
Tapering the non bending upper limb to the top mid limb.

Draw knife to level the non bending upper limb. More to come as soon as the energy returns, whew!

I do a lot donation work with my creations so it is to be said I have time to give. Yes I always have been good with tools power and old school, I prefer the old tools because if the power goes out  I can be creative by candle light ;D

and Now time to round the edges and start tillering then work on the handle. There is a slope on one limb tip because of the natural back I don't see that causing any trouble,I Hope. Not sure if Sinew should be added to the back ,will see after tillering.

:)Not as hard as I thought it would be exept the curviture of the back throws me off a bit.

Very nice.  Is that a machete you're using on the rough out?  I've seen guys rough out a duck decoy with a hatchet and it amazes me they can do so without turning the thing into splinters.
