Iowa State Fair
« on: August 25, 2015, 10:19:10 am »
My family went to the fair Saturday. Man you could have gotten sick trying to eat all the different foods there.
The best part was the huge breeding stock.  A 504 pound ram, a 1106 pound boar, cutters and all. , and
a 2,868 pound red angus BULL.   That boar was at least 9' long.
A three strand cord is not easily broken. Ecc.4:12

I got to go to the Indiana State Fair a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately I didn't get to see much of it. My daughter took her cat to the fair. You can't really roam around freely and visit much of the fair whilst carrying around a large carrier full of cat.
She did however win the blue ribbon in her class so it was a pretty fun day just the same. It's pretty amazing, we found this cat cold, wet, and nearly starved in a parking lot 3 or 4 years ago and now he's the 2 time first place winner at the state fair. He's not as cool as Del the Cat but Bob the cat is right up there!

Utah's has gotten progressively worse over the years. The last time we went we bought a smoked turkey leg. Don't get me wrong, it was big, but it was also $20. Lots of garbage for sale. At least the animals were cool to see. The state was going to cut funding, as they "lose" about $2 million a year. I say forget about trying to make it profitable, just make it fun again!

I hoped you would appreciate this Mr. Del!

She's one happy kid and he's a ... complacent cat!

He's already had a taste of life on the street and has made his choice.
