Secondaries and fans?

I have 3 fans and lots of secondarily. Can I use these as fletchings?  Thanks for any feedback

I use secondaries all the time! the great thing about them is that you can get two fletches from one feather, you just have to be sure that you dont mix one side of the feather with the other. I use tail fans as eastern two fleches as the design of the feather lends itself to that, but you can use them in three fletches, they will just be vey soft and not quite as toough as primaries or secondaries. But hey, if you dont want em, id be happy to relieve you of those no good tail feathers >:D

What B&A said....and I like secondary's for hunting they are quieter.

Thank you very much. I was hoping I could use them. I also have some peacock secondary's and a few primary's. They are about 15" long will give them a try too. Thanks again Tim

I also save them all, don't use the seconds or tails much but they are good trading material, primaries are just much tougher/more water repellent and I have plenty. ;) I do like the look and feel of seconds and they work fine just not as durable and I am tough on arrows. ;) :)
