Penscobot style bow from one stave?
« on: August 15, 2015, 10:29:15 pm »
Hi guys! I was walking around the swamp today and saw an interesting formation in the limb of a small tree. The tree had sent out an almost perfectly horizontal shoot from the main trunk because it had been blown over. This shoot had in turn sent out two smaller shoots that formed what looked like the smaller bow in a father-son design bow. Although the branches were only about 3/8in thick I was wondering, would it be possible to build a full scale penscobot bow from a formation like this?
Whatever you are, be a good one.
