I made a hickory backed ipe a while back I called "Howard". The grip was mostly a Hill style and the truth is, I hated how it felt. So it hung on a peg for months. When I walked by the bow to get to my shop I could see great bow potential if I rebuilt the grip and fade area. I finally did this weekend, and love it. The bow is a riot to shoot now, and quite accurate and quick. I used hickory, ipe Unibond 800. The rest is saddle leather and super glue. I'll wrap it with deer leather after I seal it all back up as I stripped it complete and started from scratch. I'm glad I finally took the time.
