When I posted this I was thinking "long" as in 70-72". It looks like most think of "long" as 66-68" and "short" as less than 62". I will be trying some shorter bows as I have a few shorter staves. I'll grab one and put it in my warm box for a week or so. I'm just finishing a boo backed yew. It was 70" but I piked it to 66 1/2". Thanks for the responses.

I love lonnnnnng bows too.  If I could make fast shooting 76" bows that's what I would shoot.  I'll have to work up my strength for longer, heavier bows that aren't slow
