Dear all,
I have a 61''/60lbs maple recurve maple bow with sinew backing. It's quite precious to me, and I wanna make it fine and protected from moisture. I also have 2 rattle snake skins, which is very costy over here. (We cannot just harvest snakes out of nature in Germany, cause we don't have them and it's forbidden anyway!) My question is, if it is useful to put them on the back of such a short, sinew backed bow? Will the snake skin stand the stress of a 29-30'' draw, and if put to the arms' sides as well, will the skin stand the compression.
Cheers, Wolfgang
