10% moisture and a hickory bow?

in my past experience working with hickory I always seal the bow at 7% or 8%  and have had good results. this bow is a Cherokee type and is at 10% moisture and I have no way of reducing it.ive always been lucky and had a car or attic and even once I built a drying box but now I have nothing to do that with.so do you think 10% will be too high? the bow has 2 1/2" back set and is 40#@28"and is 63"ntn. I thought about piking it down a inch or so to pick up the weight but gonna leave it alone for now.it shoots and draws so sweet!

You can seal it at 8% and it can be up to 12% a week later, sealer only slows moisture in and out, it doesn't prevent it 100%. So it really doesn't matter. If the bow is done, seal it.

10% is good but I prefer 6-8% for hickory. That way they get a good start. Jawge
