Great minds think alike! I just about finished up a Cherokee style D bow, it's not the best I've made, but it'll probably pop up here in a couple of days....
Good looking bow, I've got to get my hands on some Black Locust.  ;)

Nice bow I like the look of the whole bow following an arc. I'm thinking of giving the D bow a try.

Nice bow, Jonathan. These style bows are surprising effective. I want to make another, now, and since I have such bad luck with locust(frets) this might just be the challenge I need...maybe I'll even try it with some sapwood. I've successfully left sapwood on osage and mulberry. I don't see why not.

Thanks again everyone. :)  It's nice to hear such good responses.    Pat,  the boy is doing great.  He seems to be growing exponentially; its hard to keep an outfit on him. Here's a pic of him from the other day (8 weeks)...I can't help it, im a proud dad!

D- bows are very  interesting bows. Easy to tiller and later very reliable. Even shorter staves can be worked out for bows to full drawlength, because these bows forgive a lot for they are not as stressed as high performance bows
