Neolithic bow
« on: July 16, 2015, 03:25:13 am »
Does anyone know where I can get some pretty detailed plans on how to make a Neolithic bow. I am looking for measurements and details of where in the log the bow should come from.

There are many styles but googling Meare Heath is a good start.
At risk of making generalisations the under bark surface is generally left untouched as the back of the bow.

I think the Horsen Fjord bow is a good example, after a little search it's confusing because it's called both mesolilthic and neolithic on different sites.also this one of my favorite designs.
Some like motorboats,I like kayaks, some like guns,I like bows, but not the wheelie type.
