I just straightened a cascara bow for better string alingnment. It bends through the handle. I used heat. How long should I wait before I string it up and shoot it.

If I'm just bending something with dry heat I aim a fan on it for an hour or so. Until it's room temp. If I'm heat treating(changing the color) I leave it at least overnight. I haven't worked Cascara yet, though. Got some, just haven't used it.

Thanks DC.This is my first cascara bow, I'd say its good wood from my experience. It did not staighten easily with heat though.
