straightening stave
« on: July 11, 2015, 08:23:37 pm »
I just straightened a cascara bow for better string alingnment. It bends through the handle. I used heat. How long should I wait before I string it up and shoot it.

If I'm just bending something with dry heat I aim a fan on it for an hour or so. Until it's room temp. If I'm heat treating(changing the color) I leave it at least overnight. I haven't worked Cascara yet, though. Got some, just haven't used it.
