Haha! No kidding. It was a heartbreaker but I kept my cool.. After all, to him it was just a pile of weird looking tree parts. I've still got 3 left, one real nice one that's super clean and has good early/latewood ratio... The other two have too thick of sapwood for my liking. They're like 2/3 sapwood and have developed longitudinal micro cracks in the upper rings.  I'll bring them and give them away to anyone who cares to mess with em or cut them into accent blanks.
