New work shop

I finaly started erecting my new work shop today. Have had it sitting in my field since jan 2014 but just couldnt get things in line last year. We got three arches up today before we got rained out. 14 more to go.

What is that wet stuff? >:D A contractor put up two of those at our shop at work in 8 hours. Amazing how good people get at stuff when they do it all the time.

It took us over 4 hours to get up those three, but i dont claim to know what im doing.:-) At least each section went up faster than the one before so we must be learning a little at least.

That's gonna be sooooo roomy .... unless you're like me with "stuff" collecting to occupy avail space!

Weather was great today and we got 6 more sections up for a total of 9. Only 8 more to go.    :

They have about a 2" over lap that gets bolted together. If i remember right its over 80 bolts to join one arch to the next. The arches are made by bolting 7 sections together with 12 bolts per joint. I think i will be pushing close to 3000 bolts by the time its completed.  Bolts are 5/16" x 1" with a seal on the head. When im not so tired i will take a closer pic showing the overlap and bolts.

What is the dimension of your building?  I'm very interested in seeing how it finishes up.  I have plans of building a workshop in a few years when the kids move out.  I was thinking pole barn construction but your building has me intrigued.

It was called a 30x36 but is actualy 29' 10" x 35' 7 1/2" outside dimensions. I was pricing pole barns also but couldnt touch one for the price of this steel building.
