So it rained off and on at the knap-in this year...ok it rained practically the whole time. But once again it was a wonderful event. As part of the Susquehanna Valley Flintknappers formal meeting on Sunday we had decided on keeping the group and its efforts throughout the year very accessible to the members and general public. So sunday evening after getting home my wife and I brainstormed an idea of creating a site that would do what we want and thats continue to promote the event as well as primitive skills in general. So we created a blog, a site that would have updates every week or every other week promoting the group, its members, and others in the primitive skills community. So below is a link to the site check it out let us know what you think about such an endeavor. Now remember this blog is not even 24hrs old so kinks are being worked on and we are learning as we go.
http://pasvf.blogspot.comSome ideas for future posts:
1.) "Primitive Points" a history and overview of the groups publication and its author Jim Stutsman
2.) Member Spotlight a post on one of the groups members, the title would be a play of their persona an example would be "So easy even a Caveman2533 could do it"
3.) Coverage of the group at the Letchworth Knap-In
4.) Updates on future Bald Eagle Knap-ins and how they are coming along
4.) Smaller events that the groups members do throughout the year in their local area
5.) Highlighting others outside of the "group" and there flintknapping or other primitive skills
