Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July, take just  a minute out of the fun and think about why we celebrate it here in the USA.  :)

Thanks Pappy. I hope yours is a good one too. My wife brought up an excellent point last night. WE celebrate with Fireworks and lots of things that go boom. Make sure you aren't causing anyone near you trauma with your celebration. They went out and served for us, the least we can do is make sure they have a chance to enjoy it as well.

I will be working in Yosemite National Park. Throughout the Sierra Nevada fireworks  shows are being cancelled and reduced due to the ongoing drought and severe fire danger. Mariposa County has banned fireworks for personal use the 20 years I have been here.

By Saturday Afternoon it will take visitors 4 hours to go 2 miles! We have had rain the last two afternoons and more forecast through the weekend. AC went out in my museum office and it has been hot and humid.

Y'all have a safe and cool one.

Ben

Working 12 hours today and tomorrow.  No fireworks for me  :(  I'm going home tonight and cooking a big burger over some wood coals.

Be safe everyone.

Many great memories celebrating the 4th.
Enjoy and be thankful for our diminishing freedom.
