I'd be into that! I'd love to get my hands on some more Elm (I have one stave). Not much of it grows up here.

I'm embarrassed to say I just saw this thread...but to my defense y'all started it when I was deep in the Colorado mountain wilderness. ;)

Ya know im game...but not sure who's gonna even put one bid on one of my junkers with all the better bowyers bows on the table.

Not sure how the law of supply and demand is going to play out in this , maybe they will have to spread the auction out over a few years

Even if they don't go for that much in my mind it still the thought that counts n even if I could put a hundred bucks in elm halls pockets that would make it well worth it for me. Maybe they would do better just doing a raffle. You probably have a better chance of selling 20 bucks of tickets to everybody then getting 10 people to lay down big bucks

I'm pretty sure it will be a raffle style. Buckets by each bow. Folks buy "x" amount of tickets and place them in whatever bucket(s) they chose. What I like second to the money raised is the fact a lot people who don't build/own self bows will have a chance at many high class self bows. That's special all by itself.

I'd still do one or two as a silent auction, to give the "unlucky" people a better chance, besides the silent auctions do decent at Elm Hall - unless el'cheapskate DGF wants to play then he whines for years how he go beat!   >:D

Would be good if we did a few kids sized bows also to add to the raffle, always nice to see a kid walk away with a prize. If I can get a sapling big enough for 2 bows I'll be sure and do one in a youngsters size and
one in a big hairy man size.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.
