Not as planned but as expected
« on: June 22, 2015, 07:18:10 pm »
My first ever attempt at an "Andice/Calf Creek" Fortunately I didnt have all that much time invested, a well placed spall off a much larger piece did alot of the work.

Learned a valuable lesson today, never ever talk on a cell phone while notching, not even on speaker phone!

Nice notching.
Did you lose it at the break and continue
or lose it at the finish?
Still a great point. To bad you didn't suggest it for POM.

It broke about halfway in, I decided to keep going and either make it look like a "old point" or put it back together. I am thinking about restoring it. The broken piece doesn't meet up perfectly so I am going to have to fill it in. And then paint it? Not quite sure how I am going to do that yet. Maybe Andice/Calf Creek can be next months POM.

Humm To bad you don't have the missing piece.
A good epoxy perhaps with some ground Edwards
dust and a filler piece where it's missing.
Quite a juggling act though.
Actually I like it the way it is.
