I was wanting to know on your horn bows do you apply your finish over the horn or just leave it natural and buffed out

Mine has Truoil over it.
Lakeland, Florida
If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

bub as you know Ive never built a horn bow, but I have used plenty of horn overlays. I have found If I don't seal it with shellac first the oil finishes will peel off in time. If I stick some shellac on first then tung or tru oil, it works great and looks great after lots of use.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.
