Beautiful bow, looks like it'll continue to tell stories for years to come.

I would like to hear more about this masochist puting stands in osage trees though.

Nice bow man. Like the story too. I've always wanted to shoot a buck with a bow made from his rub. That would be some great irony :-)

Am I wrong to say that it hardly bends in the lower limbs, and that this design plus bow profile is hard to pull off with white ("2nd string") woods?
Maybe with elm

Always a good story behind Clint's staves it seems! I happen to have a stave from gramps tree, hopefully it will measure up like yours Scott.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

Joachim, I'll be honest and tell you that I never saw the FD on this bow until it was finished. I tillered it in hand and shot it to feel. Once it felt right, I fell in love with it and didnt want to change it. After taking the FD pic I was tempted to get the outers bending some more, but ultimately decided against it because of how well this bow shoots. In this case function trumps design.

Thanks again!

Very nice bow Scott! I like that subtle snakeyness with those copperhead skins. You did those gifts justice. Hope it makes meat for you this fall!

I agree Carson, there just something about coppers on a snakey bow...

Chris, I'm looking forward to seeing your interpretation on the deer stand bow. I have no doubt it will be a looker!

Awesome work.  That piece of osage was born to hunt as a child and to be a bow as an old man...  Pretty cool.

Beautiful story and a nostalgic new bow. The hippo tips are over the top!! Joe, what's the story on the hippo? Clint has the best historical Osage. No doubt there.

That's a beauty.I really like the way you used the exotics to build up the handle. Great bow. God Bless
