Hickory Hunter 50 @ 28
« on: June 03, 2015, 01:20:55 am »
The Story: Made this from a tree I cut down with Grandpa a few years back.  I hope to use this to hunt his farm this year.  It would be a great feeling to get my first selfbow whitetail with a bow made from a tree on the farm.  Wish me luck!

The Stats: 50# @ 28, 64.5 NtN, horn overlays, cloth imitation snakeskin backing, sheep wool arrow rest, FF string
Thanks,

Good looking bow. Nice job on the handle with the core wood and knot.

Nice bow.  It's always special to make a bow from wood that has a personal meaning.  Good luck with the hunting.

I agree, very nice tiller.

I really like this one!  The heartwood in the handle really sets off the contours.  Nicely done Sir!  Josh
