a friend gave me a slab of picture Jasper today.  Is this material knappable?

I think it's all knappable if you have a way to heat it. Looks like picture wants 650. Happy knappin.

A turkey roaster will make it nice. I have ruined some at 430 degrees, while other pieces did well at that temp.

David; I would heed chippintuff's advice. I don't live up there and rarely buy material. Try a roaster or cook in the ground, bet you'll be pleasantly rewarded.

Depends on the exact material. I have some that want close to what Cowboy said (others 450-500) depending on thickness as well.
