Its awesome seeing those big points that you make. All my points (80%) come from debige. Those are some fine looking points.

Rick IDK other than a variety of chert.

I was gifted that rock from the owner of a thrift store in town on Friday. I went in to the store to look for a copper or brass hammer for spalling but no luck. When she asked me what I was looking for I told her and what I was going to use it for. She then pulled out that rock and asked if I could make anything from it. So yesterday I made that point and took it back to her and gave her the point. She was very grate full and told me to stop by on Monday. She has another chunk at home and she thinks she has a hammer also that she will bring in for me. She also described where she had found the rock but she had only found the 2 chunks. So now I have another location to go looking for more rock.

Flungonin they are not really all that big 3.5 to 4 inches long. You will get there keep knapping and soon you will change that 80% of small points that came from the debige. To 80% or 90% of debige's will be debige's when you are finished with the point.
